So lately I’ve been spending all of my free time decorating these little boxes of joy for the wedding. Yeah we’re early, but as a huge fan of craft projects I wanted to get a head start on this sort of stuff. And by decorating I mean tying a million ribbons, hot gluing pearls (plus burning myself a few more times), cutting, hole punching, and twist-tying an equal number of “thank you” tags. All of it was worth it, because there is no greater joy than to know you did-it-yourself. 😀
The prep box: if you look closely you’ll notice that it’s actually an empty Purdy’s chocolate box (their iconic colour is purple), and for good reason! One of our theme colours for the wedding is also purple, and I wanted to find a roll of ribbon that resembled this shade.

Scoring and cutting the tags…
An arsenal of favour boxes have taken over my room. Without a doubt we want Lindt Lindor Truffles at our wedding, simply because it’s our favourite chocolate of all time! We love how they’re conveniently individually wrapped, with that silky smooth centre, right before they melt inside your mouth! We’ve been experimenting with wrapper colour combinations and leaning towards one gold (white chocolate), and orange (caramel) to match our purple ribbons. Ideally I would love to add some purple truffles (vanilla bean flavour) into the mix, but that flavour isn’t as readily available as the others… hopefully it will hit stores soon!
