The other night Joseph and I were feeling really peckish, so we decided to venture out for some dessert. We can thank our lucky stars that we found Sweet Note, this cozy dessert parlour in the heart of Richmond Hill. However, just a word of caution that the construction and traffic can get pretty heavy around Hwy 7, but once you get here it’s all worth it! 😀

Wow, we ordered their vanilla souffle with guava sauce and were completely in awe. It had great height, was piping hot from the oven and tasted as delicious as it looked! Because their souffles are made-to-order, they do require a longer wait time but we knew what we were getting ourselves into (in Vegas we had to wait 30 minutes for ours). You can’t rush deliciousness, so keep in mind that you need to wait at least 20 minutes for your souffle from the time of ordering. However, just so you know, this was one of the BEST souffles we’ve ever had!
Crack, pour, and enjoy!
The cake was so soft and moist, and quickly absorbed all of the guava sauce.
This is from their adorable “milk bottle dessert” signature line. We ordered the guava lychee flavour: the guava (pink) portion is runnier and similar to a yogurt consistency, whereas the lychee (white) portion is a firmer texture much like jello. Both tasted like their fruits.

We both thought Sweet Note was very welcoming, with attentive and knowledgeable staff and a great selection of new desserts. Their glass encased kitchen has great entertainment value because you can always see the pastry chef at work. However, the seating area can’t accommodate too many people at once, so takeout is encouraged. Looks like we’ll be making many trips here in the near future! If you ever get the chance to check it out please leave us a comment below. 🙂
